Niek combines a passion for good life with a Marine Corps mindset. He began his career with the Netherlands Marine Corps where he learned firsthand how essential it is to empower individuals to achieve peak collective performance. This focus on building strong teams is the common thread throughout his career as a manager, consultant, and advisor.
His expertise spans a wide range of industries: from the fast-paced commercial world of investment banking to running a surf school on Bonaire. Whether he is guiding a law firm or a software developer, Niek is in his element as long as he is working with people. In 2019, he founded Culture Captains to help organisations achieve sustainable behavioural change and measurable results.

Lonneke van den Beucken
Governance, Mediation & Organisational change
Lonneke is an expert in the executive and governance arena. For many years, she advised executives at listed companies and partners at consulting and law firms. Since 2019, her focus has been on strategic change management and governance issues within both commercial and (semi-)public sectors.
Her core strength is turning vision into actionable strategy. She effortlessly maneuvers between competing interests, drawing energy from the resulting dynamics. The psychology of organisational change is her foundation: without sincere attention to the ‘soft side’, the ‘hard side’ will inevitably gridlock.
